Materials to Prepare

  • Embroidery frame with your traced flower motif

  • Lunéville hook

  • Embroidery thread

  • A selection of beads and sequins

  • Soft pads for holding your materials

  • Scissors

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

  • Choose beads and sequins for a floral motif.

  • Explore combinations of shapes, colours, and finishes.

  • Apply familiar embroidery techniques to different materials.

  • Personalise a flower through decorative material choices.

Your Practice

Prepare a selection of beads and sequins and consider how their shapes, colours, and textures could complement your flower.
